PARALLELOGRAM/ RHOMBUS (MENSURATION)

1) A Parallelogram has adjacent sides of 20 cm and 30 cm. If the distance between the longer sides is 10cm, find
a) the area of the parallelogram.          300cm²
b) the distance between the shorter sides.     15cm

2) The diagonals of a rhombus are 10 cm and 24 cm, find
a)  its area.         120cm²
b) the length of a side.       13cm
c) its perimeter.         52cm

) The base and the height of a parallelogram are in the ratio 2:3. If its area is 600 cm², find the base and the height.       20cm, 30cm

) The area of a rhombus is equal to the area of a triangle of sides 50cm, 48 cm and 14cm. If one of the diagonals of the rhombus is 24 cm, find the length of the other diagonal.        28cm

) Find the area of a parallelogram if its
a) base 12 cm, height 8.5cm.      102cm²
b) base 25 cm and height 14 cm.     350cm²

) A parallelogram has sides of 25cm and 32cm. If the distance between the longer sides is 15 cm. Find the distance between the shorter sides.        19.2cm

) The diagonals of a rhombus are 30 cm and 16 cm. Find its area, the length of a side and its perimeter.         240cm², 17cm and 68cm

) Each side of a rhombus is 61cm and one of its diagonals is 22 cm long. Find ,
a) the length of the other diagonal.            120cm
b) the area of the rhombus.        1320cm²

) The base of a triangle is 24 cm and the corresponding altitude is 16 cm. The area of a rhombus is equals to the area of the triangle. If one of the diagonals of the rhombus is 20cm. Find the length of the other diagonal.       19.2cm

) The height of a parallelogram is twice its base . If its area is 450cm²,  find its base and height.           15cm, 30cm

) ABCD is a rectangle.
Calculate the area of shaded portion.      252cm²

) If the area of a rhombus is 96 cm² and one of its diagonal is 12cm long , find the length of the other diagonal. Also. find its perimeter.        16cm, 40cm
